New for 2020- COVID Protocols
   1. If you or your child is feeling sick, please keep them at home. 
   2. Self screening of coaches and players will be mandatory before every practice at the door. 
   3. There will be NO spectators allowed inside the gym. Family members and/or parents must wait in their car, outside, at home OR come to the Rec Center and swim! 
   4. Players must bring their own water bottle with water for practice.
   5. Coaches are responsible for making sure the gym is clean after use (sanitizing) and sanitizing basketballs. Sanitizing wipes or spray will be provided by the Rec Center for the basketballs. 

Included in Basketball this year is a "free" day pass to the Rec Center for parents or kids waiting for their child in practice. To eliminate spectators at the school this year for COVID, we have opened up this time for parents/kids waiting, to come enjoy the pool. How does this work? Drop your child(ren) off for Basketball practice, come down to the pool and swim! Just make sure to check in at the front desk and let them know you have a child in basketball! 

As a result of COVID and the extra cleaning that needs to happen in the school after practices, eliminating spectators and other unforeseen circumstances the cost of registration has gone up as a result this year. We will not be doing pictures or t-shirts this year. Our season is also a little shorter, but kids will still get a few games in against neighboring schools. 

Please mind these rules as it is a combined collaboration between the Cascade School District and the Rec District to put on Youth Basketball this year and make it happen in a safe manner. Anyone or team who is found not following these guidelines will be asked to leave the building and/or program.

2020 Practice Schedule
Pee Wee (Grades 1 & 2) Monday & Wednesday 5:45-6:45pm 
3/4 Girls Monday & Wednesday 7-8pm
3/4 Boys Monday & Wednesday 7-8pm
5/6 Boys Tuesday & Thursday 5:45-6:45pm
5/6 Girls Tuesday & Thursday 7-8pm 

2019/2020 Season
Our youth basketball season starts mid-October for all ages, 3rd-6th grades. The season goes through the end of December. These teams will be broken into girls and boys teams.  Practices are held twice a week at the Cascade Schools in the gym and are determined by coaches and gym availability. Teams will play games against neighboring towns at both Home and Away locations.

Registration fees are $25 for one child, or $20 for two or more children for kids playing in 3rd-6th grades. There will be late registration fees as well. 
Registration fees include photos, t-shirts and court equipment. Our teams are coached by volunteers. Coaches will receive a free entry for one participating player. Before you can get signed off to be a coach for us, you must fill out a form and pass a background check.
