Swim Lessons
While swimming is a fun activity, it’s important that children know how to swim correctly so they can be safe in the water. That’s where swimming lessons come in. Our instructors emphasize comfort and security in the water.

Group Swim Lessons
Group lessons consist of 8 weeks of 30 minute lessons, occurring the same day & time each week. Students will work together with a swim instructor(s) in a group setting.  Lesson sessions should be repeated until the student is ready to progress to the next level.  Once all swim lesson sessions are completed, students are encouraged to try a Cascade Killer Whales swim team practice!

Classes Offered:
Baby Beluga:  Ages 4 months - 3 years old
Introductory class for future swimmers to learn, feel secure and bond with parent or caregiver. Includes games, activities, flotation devices and toys. One parent or caregiver must accompany the child in the water. All babies must wear swim diapers, which are available for sale at our front desk. Baby Beluga is offered on an as-needed basis.

Swim/Stroke School:  Ages 3 years - high school
   Level 1/2 Trust & Submersion, Body Positioning & Air Recovery
   Level 3/4 Forward Movement, Direction Change & Rotary Movement
   Level 5/6 Integrated Movement, Freestyle Stroke, Diving

Some class days are subject to change depending on weather, instructor illness, etc. Make-up lessons will be given for classes that are cancelled due to the pool or instructor unavailability. Make-ups are not offered for classes missed due to student illness, other appointments, vacation, etc. 

Classes will be determined by availability, age, ability, and time preference.
 
Cost:   Dues to be paid at or prior to first lesson. $60 for in-district/resident, $80 for out-of-district/non-resident. Additional family members enrolled in swim lessons are entitled to a 50% discount ($40). Scholarships are available.
