Why should your child join our swim team? Swimming should be FUN! Being on a swim team is a great way to extend a child’s love of the water beyond mere recreational activities! Kids who aren’t comfortable with other sports may excel in swimming if given the opportunity! It feels good to be part of a team.  Researchers have found that it’s also a boost to overall health and well-being. Kids are welcome to try a class at NO CHARGE! How the Cascade Killer Whales Swim Team Works:Our swim team is led by Coach Laurie Fletcher and is assisted by Coach Doug Green.  They are a great pair, each of whom has impressive backgrounds in competitive swimming and coaching.  Connecting with each kid and thoughtfully encouraging them are just a few of their special qualities.Kids are welcome to try a class at no charge to see if they are interested.  Please contact Michelle Whipple michelle@cascaderec.org to discuss a free trial date. Swim Team is a free class with purchase of a facility membership.T-shirts with the CKW logo and child's name are available for adults and kids for $10.  It’s great to wear the shirts to school and around to promote awareness of our swim team!  During the swim team registration process, you will be asked if you want to purchase a t-shirt.We encourage the team to use Speedo Adult or Jr. Vanquisher 2.0 Mirrored Swim Goggle.  It offers panoramic anti-fog lens with UV protection and the mirror lens helps reduce brightness and glare from the sun.  These are available for sale in our pro shop in the lobby.Scholarships are available for membership or purchase of needed items.We offer two year-round swim teams:Cascade Killer Whales Senior Swim Team Improve and refine all strokes, develop powerful swimming by utilizing enhanced stroke and breathing techniques, and increase stamina drills.  To be a swim team member, your child must be able to swim the length of our pool (25 yards) unaided. Practices:The child can attend all practice days or a combination of days that work for their schedule.  We are flexible.In competitive swimming, swimmers can use all four of these types of strokes, or some of the strokes individually, as well as in medley (or combination style) events. Swim teams also often swim in relay events where members of the team work together and trade places at either end of the pool. Once on a team, children are usually grouped by age. Our groups are: 10 and under, 11 to 12, 13 to 14, 15 to 16, and 17 to 18. Our team competes at swim meets, which is optional to members.  Cascade Killer Whales Junior Swim Club A new, preparatory club for future swim team kids who have completed swimming lessons and want to develop strength, endurance, stroke and breathing techniques.

Therapy pool definition Pool therapy, or hydrotherapy, is an exercise program designed to be performed while a person is submerged or buoyed in water. This form of physical therapy is particularly beneficial because it significantly decreases the stress placed on the neck and back that can occur with high-impact exercises. Cascade Medical Center (CMC) Physical Therapy reserves the therapy pool for their patients each week on:   Tuesday 8:00am - 2:00pm   Thursday 8:00am - 2:00pmNote: The therapy pool may be open during these times if there are no patients scheduled.  If you would like to check on the day's schedule, please call our front desk at (208) 382-5136.CMC Aquatic Therapy Offered as one on one treatment with Jessica, PT Assistant 30 minute appointments available Tuesdays and Thursday from 8am until early afternoon Please call CMC's Lisa Lambirth at (208) 382-3862 to schedule an appointment. Increase all over strength, balance and flexibility in a fun group atmosphere.  All levels are welcome.  Exercises can be completed from a chair or standing.

A class taught by new instructor, Sabra Collins! A 60-minute high-energy interval training workout, designed to improve strength, cardiovascular fitness and build lean muscle. This workout uses weights, bands, resistance balls, steps, body-weight and more to exercise and blast all major muscle groups. This class will target specific muscle groups each day to increase strength and stamina.   Be challenged! Be Changed!

How the Cascade Killer Whales Swim Team Works:Our swim team is led by Coach Laurie Fletcher and is assisted by Coach Doug Green.  They are a great pair, each of whom has impressive backgrounds in competitive swimming and coaching.  Connecting with each kid and thoughtfully encouraging them are just a few of their special qualities.Kids are welcome to try a class at no charge to see if they are interested.  Please contact Michelle Whipple michelle@cascaderec.org to discuss a free trial date. Swim Team is a free class with purchase of a facility membership.T-shirts with the CKW logo and child's name are available for adults and kids for $10.  It’s great to wear the shirts to school and around to promote awareness of our swim team!  During the swim team registration process, you will be asked if you want to purchase a t-shirt.We encourage the team to use Speedo Adult or Jr. Vanquisher 2.0 Mirrored Swim Goggle.  It offers panoramic anti-fog lens with UV protection and the mirror lens helps reduce brightness and glare from the sun.  These are available for sale in our pro shop in the lobby.Scholarships are available for membership or purchase of needed items.We offer two year-round swim teams:Cascade Killer Whales Senior Swim Team Improve and refine all strokes, develop powerful swimming by utilizing enhanced stroke and breathing techniques, and increase stamina drills.  To be a swim team member, your child must be able to swim the length of our pool (25 yards) unaided. Practices:The child can attend all practice days or a combination of days that work for their schedule.  We are flexible.In competitive swimming, swimmers can use all four of these types of strokes, or some of the strokes individually, as well as in medley (or combination style) events. Swim teams also often swim in relay events where members of the team work together and trade places at either end of the pool. Once on a team, children are usually grouped by age. Our groups are: 10 and under, 11 to 12, 13 to 14, 15 to 16, and 17 to 18. Our team competes at swim meets, which is optional to members.  Cascade Killer Whales Junior Swim Club A new, preparatory club for future swim team kids who have completed swimming lessons and want to develop strength, endurance, stroke and breathing techniques.

Swim Team is a free class with purchase of a facility membership.T-shirts with the CKW logo and child's name are available for adults and kids for $10.  It’s great to wear the shirts to school and around to promote awareness of our swim team!  During the swim team registration process, you will be asked if you want to purchase a t-shirt.We encourage the team to use Speedo Adult or Jr. Vanquisher 2.0 Mirrored Swim Goggle.  It offers panoramic anti-fog lens with UV protection and the mirror lens helps reduce brightness and glare from the sun.  These are available for sale in our pro shop in the lobby.Scholarships are available for membership or purchase of needed items.We offer two year-round swim teams:Cascade Killer Whales Senior Swim Team Improve and refine all strokes, develop powerful swimming by utilizing enhanced stroke and breathing techniques, and increase stamina drills.  To be a swim team member, your child must be able to swim the length of our pool (25 yards) unaided. Practices:The child can attend all practice days or a combination of days that work for their schedule.  We are flexible.In competitive swimming, swimmers can use all four of these types of strokes, or some of the strokes individually, as well as in medley (or combination style) events. Swim teams also often swim in relay events where members of the team work together and trade places at either end of the pool. Once on a team, children are usually grouped by age. Our groups are: 10 and under, 11 to 12, 13 to 14, 15 to 16, and 17 to 18. Our team competes at swim meets, which is optional to members.  Cascade Killer Whales Junior Swim Club A new, preparatory club for future swim team kids who have completed swimming lessons and want to develop strength, endurance, stroke and breathing techniques.

This class will target specific muscle groups each day to increase strength and stamina.   Be challenged! Be Changed!

Why should your child join our swim team? Swimming should be FUN! Being on a swim team is a great way to extend a child’s love of the water beyond mere recreational activities! Kids who aren’t comfortable with other sports may excel in swimming if given the opportunity! It feels good to be part of a team.  Researchers have found that it’s also a boost to overall health and well-being. Kids are welcome to try a class at NO CHARGE! How the Cascade Killer Whales Swim Team Works:Our swim team is led by Coach Laurie Fletcher and is assisted by Coach Doug Green.  They are a great pair, each of whom has impressive backgrounds in competitive swimming and coaching.  Connecting with each kid and thoughtfully encouraging them are just a few of their special qualities.Kids are welcome to try a class at no charge to see if they are interested.  Please contact Michelle Whipple michelle@cascaderec.org to discuss a free trial date. Swim Team is a free class with purchase of a facility membership.T-shirts with the CKW logo and child's name are available for adults and kids for $10.  It’s great to wear the shirts to school and around to promote awareness of our swim team!  During the swim team registration process, you will be asked if you want to purchase a t-shirt.We encourage the team to use Speedo Adult or Jr. Vanquisher 2.0 Mirrored Swim Goggle.  It offers panoramic anti-fog lens with UV protection and the mirror lens helps reduce brightness and glare from the sun.  These are available for sale in our pro shop in the lobby.Scholarships are available for membership or purchase of needed items.We offer two year-round swim teams:Cascade Killer Whales Senior Swim Team Improve and refine all strokes, develop powerful swimming by utilizing enhanced stroke and breathing techniques, and increase stamina drills.  To be a swim team member, your child must be able to swim the length of our pool (25 yards) unaided. Practices:The child can attend all practice days or a combination of days that work for their schedule.  We are flexible.In competitive swimming, swimmers can use all four of these types of strokes, or some of the strokes individually, as well as in medley (or combination style) events. Swim teams also often swim in relay events where members of the team work together and trade places at either end of the pool. Once on a team, children are usually grouped by age. Our groups are: 10 and under, 11 to 12, 13 to 14, 15 to 16, and 17 to 18. Our team competes at swim meets, which is optional to members.  Cascade Killer Whales Junior Swim Club A new, preparatory club for future swim team kids who have completed swimming lessons and want to develop strength, endurance, stroke and breathing techniques.

Kids who aren’t comfortable with other sports may excel in swimming if given the opportunity! It feels good to be part of a team.  Researchers have found that it’s also a boost to overall health and well-being. Kids are welcome to try a class at NO CHARGE! How the Cascade Killer Whales Swim Team Works:Our swim team is led by Coach Laurie Fletcher and is assisted by Coach Doug Green.  They are a great pair, each of whom has impressive backgrounds in competitive swimming and coaching.  Connecting with each kid and thoughtfully encouraging them are just a few of their special qualities.Kids are welcome to try a class at no charge to see if they are interested.  Please contact Michelle Whipple michelle@cascaderec.org to discuss a free trial date. Swim Team is a free class with purchase of a facility membership.T-shirts with the CKW logo and child's name are available for adults and kids for $10.  It’s great to wear the shirts to school and around to promote awareness of our swim team!  During the swim team registration process, you will be asked if you want to purchase a t-shirt.We encourage the team to use Speedo Adult or Jr. Vanquisher 2.0 Mirrored Swim Goggle.  It offers panoramic anti-fog lens with UV protection and the mirror lens helps reduce brightness and glare from the sun.  These are available for sale in our pro shop in the lobby.Scholarships are available for membership or purchase of needed items.We offer two year-round swim teams:Cascade Killer Whales Senior Swim Team Improve and refine all strokes, develop powerful swimming by utilizing enhanced stroke and breathing techniques, and increase stamina drills.  To be a swim team member, your child must be able to swim the length of our pool (25 yards) unaided. Practices:The child can attend all practice days or a combination of days that work for their schedule.  We are flexible.In competitive swimming, swimmers can use all four of these types of strokes, or some of the strokes individually, as well as in medley (or combination style) events. Swim teams also often swim in relay events where members of the team work together and trade places at either end of the pool. Once on a team, children are usually grouped by age. Our groups are: 10 and under, 11 to 12, 13 to 14, 15 to 16, and 17 to 18. Our team competes at swim meets, which is optional to members.  Cascade Killer Whales Junior Swim Club A new, preparatory club for future swim team kids who have completed swimming lessons and want to develop strength, endurance, stroke and breathing techniques.

How the Cascade Killer Whales Swim Team Works:Our swim team is led by Coach Laurie Fletcher and is assisted by Coach Doug Green.  They are a great pair, each of whom has impressive backgrounds in competitive swimming and coaching.  Connecting with each kid and thoughtfully encouraging them are just a few of their special qualities.Kids are welcome to try a class at no charge to see if they are interested.  Please contact Michelle Whipple michelle@cascaderec.org to discuss a free trial date. Swim Team is a free class with purchase of a facility membership.T-shirts with the CKW logo and child's name are available for adults and kids for $10.  It’s great to wear the shirts to school and around to promote awareness of our swim team!  During the swim team registration process, you will be asked if you want to purchase a t-shirt.We encourage the team to use Speedo Adult or Jr. Vanquisher 2.0 Mirrored Swim Goggle.  It offers panoramic anti-fog lens with UV protection and the mirror lens helps reduce brightness and glare from the sun.  These are available for sale in our pro shop in the lobby.Scholarships are available for membership or purchase of needed items.We offer two year-round swim teams:Cascade Killer Whales Senior Swim Team Improve and refine all strokes, develop powerful swimming by utilizing enhanced stroke and breathing techniques, and increase stamina drills.  To be a swim team member, your child must be able to swim the length of our pool (25 yards) unaided. Practices:The child can attend all practice days or a combination of days that work for their schedule.  We are flexible.In competitive swimming, swimmers can use all four of these types of strokes, or some of the strokes individually, as well as in medley (or combination style) events. Swim teams also often swim in relay events where members of the team work together and trade places at either end of the pool. Once on a team, children are usually grouped by age. Our groups are: 10 and under, 11 to 12, 13 to 14, 15 to 16, and 17 to 18. Our team competes at swim meets, which is optional to members.  Cascade Killer Whales Junior Swim Club A new, preparatory club for future swim team kids who have completed swimming lessons and want to develop strength, endurance, stroke and breathing techniques.

A class taught by new instructor, Sabra Collins! A 60-minute high-energy interval training workout, designed to improve strength, cardiovascular fitness and build lean muscle. This workout uses weights, bands, resistance balls, steps, body-weight and more to exercise and blast all major muscle groups. This class will target specific muscle groups each day to increase strength and stamina.   Be challenged! Be Changed!
