Now Hiring: District Manager

The Southern Valley County Recreation District is accepting applications for a full time district manager to act as the chief executive. This is an on duty manager position with primary responsibilities of supervising staff, facility and recreational operation, prepare and oversee the budget, and provide customer service to the public. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Board of Directors, although latitude is allowed for independent judgement and initiative.

A bachelor’s degree in recreational management, business, public administration, or similar subject matter is preferred. One year of experience in management of a business or public organization and supervising employees is preferred. A background check, valid drivers license, first aid and CPR certifications are required.

Beginning annual salary of $35,000 DOE with a benefit package that includes PERSI and paid vacation and holidays.

Now Hiring: Front Desk Representative (Part Time)

Age Requirement:  Open to ages 16+

Pay: $9.00 per hour start wage

We are in need of a front desk staff member that is available to work evening shifts and possibly weekends.  Availability to cover other shifts as needed is a plus.

We are looking for a pleasant Front Desk Representative to undertake receptionist and clerical duties at the desk of our main entrance. You will be the “face” of the facility for all visitors and will be responsible for the first impression we make.

The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy going personality while also being very perceptive and disciplined. You should be able to deal with complaints and give accurate information. A customer-oriented approach is essential.

The goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable and valued while on our premises.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Keep front desk and lobby tidy and presentable
Greet and welcome guests, give tours of the facility to new guests
Answer questions and address complaints
Answer all incoming calls and redirect them or keep messages
Laundry (towels, rags, etc)
Monitor pool as needed

REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience as front desk representative, agent or relevant position
Familiarity with office machines (e.g. Computer, printer, scanner, etc.)
Knowledge of basic bookkeeping (able to balance income from shift)
Ability to navigate Internet systems easily.
Adequate knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to learn new computer software easily
Strong communication and people skills
Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
Problem-solving skills
Customer service orientation


Now Hiring:  Housekeeping (Part Time)

Age Requirement:  Open to ages 14+

Pay: $7.25 - $9.00 per hour depending on experience 

Responsibilities would be shared with our current housekeeper and would include, but are not limited to...

-Cleaning of the facility locker rooms, fitness room, lobby, fitness studio, kid area, laundry   room(including washing of laundry), pool area, and exterior areas of the building.
-Restocking of cleaning and hygiene supplies needed in the facility.
-Must have physical ability to complete all tasks and lift approx 40 lbs.

Now Hiring: Pre-K Tumbling Instructor(s) (Seasonal, Part Time)

Closing Date: Open until filled

Age Requirement: Lead Instructor must be 18 years or older. Assistant must be 14 years or older. 

Pay: DOE

Responsibilities would include managing a group of parents and children, teaching them skills to help develop their child's mental and physical abilities in the areas of fine motor skills, tumbling skills, following directions. You will be responsible for coming up with a basic curriculum for the class series (with help of Program Director), and using tools available to you. Class size is capped at 10 kids. Classes will be once or twice a week for a 4 week session, this Fall.
