Come join us on the river for SUP lessons with instructor Beth Schadd. Beth is a seasonal worker with Idaho State Parks and spends her summers here working for Lake Cascade State Park putting on fabulous interpretive programs for all ages. When not in Idaho, she winters over in Florida where she teaches SUP, Water Running classes and enjoys running. Beth also teaches our Water Running classes here at the Rec Center. Beth’s certifications are:
- PaddleFit Coach-SUP technique and fitness instruction
- Paddle Into Fitness-SUP technique and yoga instruction
- American Canoe Association
During this 4 week progression you will first learn proper technique. Learning proper technique is beneficial for many reasons including increased performance, injury prevention, making SUP a core workout and enhancing your enjoyment of SUP. During the hour lesson you will learn proper paddling fundamentals in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Each class we will continue to build our skills through drills and teaching progressions. No matter where you are on your SUP journey we will help you get on the path to paddling properly.

You are not required to have any previous knowledge of SUPing. You do not need to have your own gear. This is open to adults ages 18 and older.
If you have your own SUP and paddle, the registration fee is $45 for all 4 sessions. Please bring your own PFD if you have one.
If you do not have any gear, the registration fee is $60 for all 4 sessions. Please bring your own PFD if you have one.
Sessions meet in the KWP parking lot to the north. Class enrollment is limited to 8 participants.
